Student Registration: SOF IMO is accessible to class 1 to 12 learners. All schools registered with SOF are sent prospectuses containing the registration papers. Unregistered schools may also submit a prospectus by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org/phone call. Schools must return to SOF the registration forms, duly completed and completed by the due date in all respects.
Roll Numbers: The coordinating professor of the school will produce the roll numbers of the students according to the instructions provided. A copy of these roll figures together with the Students ‘ Registration Sheet (SRS) and the School Registration Form (SRF) should be sent to the office of the Foundation prior to the due date for the submission of documents.
The SOF IMO takes place on two Level 1 dates. Each college may pick a date according to its comfort for undertaking the SOF IMO. Each examination date has a distinct question paper. It is not allowed to change the deadline for undertaking the SOF IMO.
The SOF International Mathematics Olympiad takes place at two levels:
Level 1: During school hours, the first level of the test is organized in the participants ‘ respective schools.
(i) Level 1 contest is a 60-minute objective-type exam consisting of 35 objective-type (multiple choice) issues for Class 1 to Class 4 and 50 objective-type (multiple choice) questions for Class 5 to Class 12 questions.
(ii) The question paper is divided into four sections: Section-1: Logical Reasoning Section-2: Mathematical Reasoning Section-3: Everyday Math Section-4: Achievers Section (iii) Separate question papers are available for each class.
(iv) English is the medium of the exam.
(V) The setting of test papers shall be followed by CBSE, ICSE / ISC and the syllabi of the State Board.
(vi) The examination shall be carried out during the hours of college.
Level 2: Level 2 for Class 3 to Class 12 learners. The qualifiers for the second round would include the following:
- Top 5% of applicants, class wise, who appear in the first level examination. Due weighting to marks scored in distinct parts will be provided in the event of a tie of marks. Separate weighting is granted for each segment.
- Top 25 wise class holders & zone wise.
- Class top where 50% of qualification marks appear in the test & scores at least 10 learners from a class. In the event that registration is obtained section wise, top rank holder will qualify for the 2nd stage regardless of section. Gold medal winner(s) may not necessarily qualify for the second stage for section wise registrations.
